The Dip

“The Dip is the long slow slog between starting and mastery. A long slog that’s actually a shortcut, because it gets you where you want to go faster than any other path.”

The book explains the process of "struggle" which happens to anyone between starting out and achieving excellence, whether it is a business idea, a skill or a project.

1. Nobody is an overnight success, and you either take the long path of mastering your craft, or quit early on to move onto something else.

2. If you want to achieve anything significant, you need to be comfortable with the "struggle" and make the most of it.

3. Building grit and perseverance is like building muscle. You need to constantly increase the resistance that challenges you and that you can still overcome.

READ IF: You are an entrepreneur and currently struggling with being in the dip, or someone who just started out a project that will likely take a while to come to fruition.
