“Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others.”

The book is a practical guide to becoming an exceptional leader by focusing on all that truly matters, your people in particular.

1. Mission statements are pointless; the one and only mission you should have is to win the game in your industry.

2. The annual budgeting exercise can jeopardize growth. Flexible budgeting (that allows for adjustments as things evolve) is much better, as is setting stretch goals which can also be adjusted.

3. Look at current your job as one piece of the puzzle, and keep changing jobs until you find the one you love.

READ IF: You are a manager or a leader who is looking for ways to improve in order to get to the next level.
